SMLB Credit rating Challenge

March 2 – 16, 2023

Using data presented by Trust Science, individuals or teams of two will create machine learning models to determine whether an individual has a good or bad credit score. Competitors will find their own publicly available macroeconomic data sets to add to the data from Trust Science to improve the accuracy of their predictions. Trust Science is looking for macroeconomic factors that may be used as a modifier to their conventional credit scores. Choosing how to incorporate various data sets will allow competitors to build their own creative solutions. This challenge is accessible to beginner programmers and those who have not tried machine learning before because SMLB will provide a walk-through document to all participants. In this step-by-step guide, beginners will be able to program a basic working solution to the problem and modify it to increase accuracy.
